Hard to find authentic Italian with good food and service. This place hits all the marks. I love the personal care Emiliano showed as well. Pauline our server was so kind and amazing as well. We loved our corner table as well. Thanks for a great experience on our special night!
I've been dining in at Trattoria for about 2 years now, several dinners, a couple of lunches. The food, service, specials, always deliver. Fresh ingredients/dishes, good portions, warm, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good cocktails, wines and desserts. Suitable for all group sizes. I would describe the ambiance as intimate. You can hold a conversation without raising your voice or struggling to hear another person talking. The only room for improvement I'd recommend, updating their online menu prices. I called in a lunch order for pickup. When I arrived for pick up I noticed my bill was slightly higher than expected. The Pappardelle Funghi is priced at $22 online, however I was charged $25. Not a big deal, but expectations matter.
This place has amazing food! Calamari excellent, meatballs were straight from Nonna, great pizza & pastas. Per my son " I think that A vucchella is a very good restaurant because of the great decoration and very, very good food. The food is very good and they put in a lot of work into it. It tastes like it came right out of Italy. The decoration is very good because there are very cool chandeliers and there is a cherry blossom tree that has seats underneath it. Very good place this deserves 5 stars."
Three of us came here for lunch and had an excellent experience. It was our first time eating here and everything went really well. The atmosphere is nice…it was quiet so it was relaxing and easy to talk with each other. When you walk in there’s a bar area. As you walk further in there is the dining room area. Everything was clean. Our waitress Mel was awesome. She was friendly and attentive. They offer a wide variety of food options as well as a few specials. Besides the full bar they have a pretty extensive wine list. We each had different meals and all three were very good. The parking, entrance and seating are all wheelchair friendly. The restaurant is conveniently located as it’s not far from I-95 the train station and the Port Jefferson to Bridgeport ferry. Definitely recommend!
Had my daughter’s 26th Bday Dinner before our concert at the Amphitheater nearby. I was transported to Italy from our greeting, to the amazing Aperol Spritzer, to the Authentic, Melt in your Mouth Meatballs, to our varied dinner and dessert. The Milanese a must, Pasta Carbonara …chef’s Kiss ….the aroma of Fresh Seafood 😘 (I’m allergic but OH how I wish I wasn’t) The owner is a Gem! Extremely attentive and welcoming! I give this Restaurant a 20 out of 10! The 100 miles driven to get to dinner was soooooo worth it! Will be sure to visit again upon our next Concert! WISH YOU WERE CLOSER!!! ❤️🇮🇹🍷
